Introduction

BFA for Abrasives

Brown Fused Alumina is made from high quality bauxite by fusing in an electric arc furnace at high temperature. It has good toughness and high hardness. It is suitable for manufacturing of Vitrified and Resin Bonded Abrasives, Coated Abrasives, for lapping, Polishing and Sandblasting.
The abrasive tools made of brown aluminum oxide are suitable for grinding carbon steel, normal alloy steel, malleable cast iron and hard bronze etc.

Brown Fused Alumina for Abrasives can be divided into two kinds:
(1), For Bonded Abrasives: FT-A-01 (with Medium Density) and FT-A-02 (with High Density);
(2), For Coated Abrasives: FT-A-P.
We can also produce Heat-Treated (also called Blue-Fired) Brown Fused Alumina. and Ceramic Coated BFA.

Applications:
For Resin Bonded and Vitrified Abrasives: Grinding Wheels etc.
For Coated Abrasives: Abrasive Belts,Sheets etc.
Wet and Dry Blasting Media;
Grinding,Lapping and Polishing Media.
